There are a lot of connections between my work life and my personal life, but my unpaid pursuits are even more varied than my consulting projects.

Introduced to Waldorf education while working at RSF Social Finance, I’m blessed to now be part of the Sacramento Waldorf School community through my inquisitive little one.

I love books, and occasionally I get around to reading them. My Goodreads list is way too long. I enjoy writing and am trying to create more time and space to do so. My current efforts can be found on my Gentle Kids Books blog.

I love rivers, trees, birds, mountains, and otters (sea and river); I do as much hiking, kayaking, rafting, and traveling as possible within the constraints of career, parenthood, and suburban obligations. I’m thankful to live so close to the American River to be able to work some of those things into my daily commute.

I love the planet and hope for better for the billions of people who live here. I care about too many social and environmental issues to list, and do my best to support a few of them financially. I hope soon to return to regular volunteerism.

Occasionally I crochet, sew, play the piano, and go to professional baseball games. I’m not a foodie, but I like to cook good food, and have shared recipes on my website.

Mostly: I like to forecast and plan for next steps. I like to get things done. I don’t settle.
