Ma Miller's Mac & Cheese

THE NOODLES

1 box (16 oz) elbow macaroni

Boil water to cook elbow macaroni. When water is boiling, add macaroni.

THE CHEESE

3 Tbsp margarine
2 Tbsp flour
1 1/2 tsp salt
dash of pepper
2 cups milk
5-8 slices American (or cheddar, or Monterey Jack) cheese

In saucepan over medium heat, melt margarine. Blend in flour, salt, and a dash of pepper. Add in milk. Stir until thick and bubbly.

Add 5-8 slices of cheese. Stir until melted.

PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER

2 Tbsp bread crumbs

Drain macaroni. In 1 1/2 qt casserole dish, mix cooked macaroni with cheese mixture. Sprinkle with bread crumbs.

Microwave on High for 12 minutes or bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.
